Claire Rhiannon Edwards

Claire Rhiannon Edwards | GBR | *1992
Noxwode Ensemble | Violine

Claire Rhiannon Edwards performs across a variety of genres but her passion lies in early music and folk music.

She grew up in Yorkshire where she took up the violin aged eleven, becoming a member of Yorkshire Young Musicians when she was seventeen years old then going on to study at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Wales where she graduated in 2015. It was at the RWCMD where she specialised in the baroque violin under the tutelage of Rachel Podger and found a passion for exploring historical music. Since then, Claire performs nationwide and internationally and loves the variety that comes with her work.

Highlights include performing for the closing concert of the Valletta International Baroque festival at the presidential palace in Malta in 2015, performing with Harry Christophers and Genesis Sixteen in Cardiff, and the Monteverdi’s Vespers with Philip Thorby in Venice.

Claire Rhiannon Edwards has also performed for Sofar Sounds, the Beverley folk festival, Weymouth folk festival, Swansea Fringe Fest, and is a member of Noxwode, Elfen, Electrik Light Orhestra, The Kilpecks, London Baroque Orchestra and freelances with many more.
