Isabella Jee, born in Seoul, South Korea, discovered her passion for music at a young age. At the age of 10, she began playing the cello and quickly excelled in her musical studies. Her talent was recognized, and she was accepted into the prestigious Yewon Art School.

Continuing her musical journey, Isabella received acceptance into the renowned Seoul Arts High School. During her time there, she participated in various competitions across Korea, including the Korean Radio Competition, where she achieved notable success.

After graduating from high school, Isabella pursued further education in Germany. She embarked on a new chapter in her life by studying at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin under the guidance of esteemed mentor Claudius Popp. Seeking to broaden her musical horizons, she then joined the Royal College of Music Stockholm, where she pursued a Master’s degree with Jakob Koranyi, an opportunity she secured with a full scholarship.

Isabella’s dedication and talent did not go unnoticed, as she was also awarded a scholarship from the KMA Foundation.

In 2023, her musical journey continued as she received acceptance into the Royal College of Music in Stockholm as an advanced solo instrumentalist, once again studying under the guidance of Jakob Koranyi. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with esteemed musical ensembles such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Stockholm, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Swedish Opera.

While performing as a professional cellist in various orchestras, Isabella’s ambition grew, and she aspired to become a principal cellist. In April 2023, she gained valuable experience leading the cello section of the Stockholm Concert Orchestra during their Scandinavian tour, further honing her leadership and musical skills.

Isabella Jee’s journey as a cellist is marked by her passion, perseverance, and continuous pursuit of excellence. With each step, she has strived to grow as a musician and contribute to the world of classical music.
