DAVOS FESTIVAL Camerata | Violine
Praised for his elegant sound, stylistic knowledge and his fluid and adroit technique, Italian violinist Marco Gialluca is a versatile musician that explores music in numerous ways, defying categorization and always bringing a special excitement and the need to share inner worlds and emotions in his performances, from solo to orchestral engagements.
Upcoming seasons include concerts for Accademia dei Cameristi in Italy (where he is invited for the third consecutive year) in piano quintet as well as a duo recital in Milan for Spazio Scopri Coop. His prolific concert activity includes invitations for leading institutions and festivals, such as Società del Quartetto (Milan), Teatro Comunale C.Abbado (Ferrara), Mantua Chamber Music Festival as well as Italian Cultural Institutes (Paris and Stuttgart).
Alongside the concert activity, Marco Gialluca has several prizes in national and international competitions to his credit, including 18 First Prizes. Since 2016 he is a scholarship holder of the Y. Menuhin – Live Music Now organization, where he delivers interactive music programmes in care homes and hospitals, and a range of community and healthcare settings.
Passionate about the beauty of arts, Marco Gialluca aims to develop interdisciplinary paths between classical music and other artistic fields and to reach a younger and larger audience, always creating a magic synergy between performer, music and audience.
Holding a Master of Music and a Concert Diploma from Mannheim University of Performing Arts where he studied under the guidance of Marco Rizzi, he is since 2021 an academy member of WDR Sinfonieorchester. He plays a violin made in Ravenna (Italy) by Marco Minnozzi in 1992.
Besides music, Marco Gialluca enjoys coffee, New York City, Kinfolk Magazine and minimal interiors, trying new recipes, and walking in the nature or exploring any new city.
