Tjasha Gafner

Tjasha Gafner | SUI | *1999

Tjasha Gafner, harpist born in Switzerland in 1999, is the winner of the prestigious ARD Competition in Munich in 2023. Since the age of 10, she has performed internationally recitals and as a soloist with orchestras. She graduated from the Juilliard School in New York and has released three recorded albums. In 2023, she was selected by the newspaper „Die Zeit“ as one of the 30 significant personalities under 30 in Germany. During a solo tour in Argentina in 2022, she conducted her first masterclass. In 2023, she traveled to Congo to perform, teach, and build instruments from recycled materials. Tjasha contributes to expanding the harp repertoire by creating her own transcriptions and collaborating with composers such as Constantin Macherel, Ziyi Tao, Jake Safirstein, and Laurent Coulomb, who have dedicated works to her.
