Celeste Casiraghi is an Italian baroque cellist and one of the founding members of the young international Ensemble Mozaïque. She has performed on renowned stages and festivals including Brucknerhaus Linz, Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci, Händelfestspiele Göttingen, Saintes Festival and has recorded for the German national broadcast NDR and the Pan Classics recording label. In 2021 she concluded her MA specialisation in historical cello performance at the Universtät Mozarteum Salzburg under the guidance of prof. Marco Testori, actively participating in numerous projects under the baton of Howard Arman, Stefano Barneschi, Vittorio Ghielmi, Alfredo Bernardini and Francesco Corti. Since graduating she collaborates with various ensembles such as the Irish Baroque Orchestra, Hassler Consort, La Banda, ensemble Bach Werk Vokal, and has participated in two editions of the Marchesato Opera Festival in Saluzzo with Accademia La Chimera. She is also the recipient of the 1st prize ex aequo of the Premio Zampari, and with the ensemble Mozaïque has been awarded 1st prizes and audience prizes at the Rheinsberger Hofkapelle and Göttingen Händel Competition, and the Special prize “Fiori Musicali'' - Note 1 Music Gmbh prize at the H.I.F. Biber Wettbewerb. Previously she studied at the Conservatorio G. Verdi of Milano with prof. Nicoletta Mainardi until 2016, and then undertook a MA in cello at the ISSM “Vecchi - Tonelli” in Modena in the class of prof. Marianne graduating in 2019. In the last few years she has participated in various masterclasses with prof. Walter Vestidello (from the ensemble Sonatori della Gioiosa Marca), prof. Emmanuele Ballsa (CNSM Lyon), and on the ‘Violoncello Piccolo’ with prof. Christophe Coin (Schola Cantorum Basiliensis).
