Constant Clermont

Constant Clermont is a French violinist and a graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), where he studied with Olivier Charlier. In the autumn of 2026, he will continue his studies with Lisa Batiashvili at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.

During his studies, he co-founded the Mirages Quartet, which was in residence at the Fondation Singer-Polignac from 2022 to 2025. With the quartet, he took part in the Verbier Festival Academy and the Académie du Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, and worked closely with Mathieu Herzog, Gábor Takács-Nagy, and members of the Quatuor Ébène, Belcea Quartet, and Alban Berg Quartett. The ensemble performed alongside distinguished artists including Augustin Dumay, Michel Dalberto, and David Grimal, notably at the Festival des Arcs and Salle Cortot.

Since 2024, Constant has devoted himself increasingly to his solo career, seeking a wide range of musical collaborations to deepen his artistic perspective. He has received guidance from leading violinists including Noah Bendix-Balgley, Vineta Sareika, and Rainer Honeck, notably at the Villars Music Academy. He has appeared at international festivals such as AlpenKammerMusik and the Boyne Music Festival, performing alongside artists including William Coleman, Yoo Jin Jang, and Meesun Hong Coleman. Committed to making classical music accessible to diverse audiences, he regularly collaborates with Musethica, performing in projects at L’Auditori in Barcelona and the Beethovenfest Bonn.

A frequent guest with Camerata Bern, Constant has toured across Europe with the ensemble, performed at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival, and taken part in the next recording of violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja. He has also recently passed an audition to join the Chamber Orchestra of Europe as an extra musician.
