Johannes Henning

Johannes Henning, born in 2001, is a double bassist from Stuttgart, Germany. He has been studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart with Prof. Matthias Weber since 2020.
From 2023 to 2025, he was an academy member of the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, gaining valuable experience in professional orchestral practice. He has also performed as a substitute with the Stuttgart Philharmonic, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Stuttgart State Orchestra, and Württemberg Philharmonic Reutlingen.
Internationally, he took part in the Gustav Mahler Academy and the Bregenz Festival Academy.
His musical development has been enriched by masterclasses with renowned artists including Rick Stotijn, Naomi Shaham, Diego Zecharies, Dorin Marc, Günter Klaus, Christine Hoock, and Nabil Shehata.
