Lea Galasso

Lea Galasso is an Italian cellist, passionate chamber musician, and cello teacher. She has performed at renowned venues such as the Rome Chamber Music Festival, Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama, and the “Lingotto Giovani” Festival in Torino. She won the special prize “The Note Zagreb” at the 9th International Competition for Young Cellists “Antonio Janigro” in Croatia.Lea studied under esteemed professors such as Ivan Monighetti, Antonio Meneses and Christian Poltéra, graduating with honors from prestigious institutions in Lucerne, Basel, and Bern. She participated in prestigious academies and masterclasses such as the Gstaad String Academy, Barenboim-Said Academy, and Accademia Chigiana, working with renowned musicians like Frans Helmerson, Jens Peter Maintz, Peter Bruns. As a founding member of the Moser String Quartet, Lea has won multiple prizes, showcasing her commitment to chamber music. She plays on an italian cello Primo Contavalli, acquired thanks to an anonymous donation by a group of members of the Associazione Amici della Scuola di Fiesole.
