Marta Cid

Marta Cid is a young, creative saxophonist currently focusing her artistic development on the world of chamber music. After receiving the Professional Music Degree Award in Vigo, she moved to Barcelona to study at the ESMUC, where she is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Performance under Nacho Gascón and Mariano García. Her career is highlighted by several awards, such as the first prize at the II Mestre Vide Competition and the first prize at the II International Chamber Music Competition of the Liceu Sax Festival with the "Inner Trio". An active performer, she has collaborated with prestigious ensembles such as the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (OBC), the Barcelona Municipal Band, and the JONC, and is a member of the Osimun Quartet and the Galician Symphonic Band.
