Originally from Logroño, Spanish violinist Patricia Muro studied at the renowned Music Conservatory of the Basque Country (Musikene) and at the Hochschule für Musik Basel, where she was mentored by Catalin Bucataru, Tatiana Samouil, Barbara Doll and Silvia Simionescu. Patricia has also graced the stage as a soloist, performing with orchestras such as Collegium Musicum La Rioja and La Rioja Symphony Orchestra. In 2016, she won the First Prize in the Fermín Gurbindo Competition. Patricia has received advice from renowned violinists such as Mark Skazinetsky, Raphaël Oleg, Marie Berard, Rainer Schmidt, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Guy Braunstein, Irene Wilhelmi and Boris Brotvyn, among others. She has also performed with professional orchestras such as the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra, Bilbao Symphony Orchestra and Kammerorchester Basel; has been concertmaster of several youth orchestras, including the Spanish National Youth Orchestra, and has performed internationally with the European Union Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. Currently, Patricia is focused on a chamber music career with the Moser String Quartet, which has achieved international recognition and success in several international competitions.
