Quincy Tilles

Quincy Tilles is an Irish-American violist and violinist. An avid soloist and chamber musician, he has performed in venues across Europe, the United States and Mexico and has shared the stage with artists including Grigory Kalinovsky, Yuval Gotlibovich and Kyung Sun Lee. 

As a strong proponent of contemporary music, Quincy is a member and part-time concertmaster of the New Music Ensemble at the Jacobs School of Music where he has performed and premiered works by Shulamit Ran, Mason Bates and Thomas Adès. Upcoming engagements include a solo recital at the Festival de Música Isaac Albéniz in Camprodon, Spain, as well as solo and chamber performances across Europe, the United States and Korea.

Quincy completed his undergraduate studies in both viola and violin at the Jacobs School of Music where his mentors included Mauricio Fuks, Mark Holloway, Li-Kuo Chang, and the Pacifica Quartet. He is currently working to achieve a double masters degree in violin and viola at the same institution, studying under Mark Kaplan and Atar Arad.
