Laurène Dif

Laurène Dif is an accordionist interpreting repertoires ranging from classical to contemporary music. Holding Master’s degrees in Performance and Music Pedagogy from the Haute École de Musique in Lausanne, Laurène pursues her passion for music both through teaching and a wide range of artistic projects.

In addition to her solo recitals, she has collaborated with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Ensemble Synopsie, various chamber music ensembles, and has performed at several festivals in Switzerland, France, and Italy, including the Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Festival Puplinge Classique, Festival d’Automne à Paris, Festival Accordéon'Ax, Festival Musical'Océan, Festival Internazionale di Musica da Camera di Cervo …

Laurène Dif is the laureate of the 2023 Kiefer Hablitzel – Göhner Foundation Prize and of several international competitions (Castelfidardo 2010, Montrond-les-Bains 2013, Prix Jeune Talent – Zonta Competition 2016). She collaborates with composers on the creation of works written for her instrument. Notably, the solo accordion piece «À la mémoire de ton souffle» by composer Ezko Kikoutchi was premiered in 2023 in Bern. She is also involved in the creation of the performance «Carmen.», directed by François Gremaud and featuring singer Rosemary Standley, currently touring France, Switzerland, and Belgium.

Based in Switzerland near Lausanne, Laurène Dif is a professor at the Conservatoire Cantonal du Valais and teaches at several Swiss music schools. She is invited to give masterclasses and teach at music workshops in both France and Switzerland.
