Liana Leßmann

DEU | Klarinette

Liana Leßmann, born in 1994, started playing the clarinet at age eight. Soon she joined the Junior Program at the Folkwang University of the Arts Essen. For further studies she moved to Lübeck to study with Prof. Sabine Meyer. 2018 Liana joined the Karajan-Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, where she got the chance to study with members of the orchestra and play alongside in their concerts. Since then, Liana is a regular guest in orchestras like the Staatskapelle Dresden and Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. In 2022 Liana is became member of the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2019 Mülheim an der Ruhr, the city where Liana grew up, honoured her with the «Ruhrpreis für Kunst und Wissenschaft».
